It is held in place via UV protected suction cups that attach to the sunroof glass. These suction cups are of the highest quality. Shade can even be used when sunroof is in open position for ventilation. Shade can be easily removed when not in use. Just detach the suction cups from glass, roll it up and secure it with the handy velcro strap.
These shades are professionally manufactured, using high quality materials. The shades inner layer is of a closed-cell foam. This foam is then "sandwiched" between a metallized, polyester film on one side to reflect the heat. And, the other side is made of a white, polyester film for backing.
